Mattupetty is famous for its modern diary which came out of Indo-Swiss project. The farm consists of 100 varieties of cattle which are high yielding. Visitors are allowed into three of the 11 cattle sheds of the farm. Apart from that, Mattupetty Lake & Dam is a distinguished picnic spot. Kundala Tea Plantation and Kundala Lake are other locations worth visiting. A 14 km travel from Munnar would take you to Mattupetty.


Pothamedu is popular for its tea, coffee and cardamom Plantations and are an ideal place for trekking and mountaineering. The rough mountains and beautiful weather attracts people for such adventures. Traveling 6 km from Munnar would take you to Pothamedu.


Devikulam is a hill station that is located within 7 km of Munnar known for its exquisite beauty and flora and fauna. Over here you could find the Sita Devi Lake and is perfect for picnic and fishing. The lake is considered to be sacred and is believed to have curative powers.

Rajamala Wildlife Sanctuary

This wildlife sanctuary is situated 15 km from Munnar and is the natural habitat of the Nilgiri Tahr. It is 2695 Mts above sea level and is part of Eravikulam Wildlife Sanctuary. The number of Nilgiri Tahr in Rajamala is 1300.

Eravikulam National Park

This park is situated in Devikulam Taluk and is 97 sq. km. It is popular as the home of Nilgiri Tahr and was declared a sanctuary in the year 1975. Later considering the zoological importance also it was stated as a National Park in 1978. The renowned Anamudi peak which is 2695 Mts is located here. The landscape is filled with rolling grass and evergreen forests which gives it a stunning look.

CSI Christ Church

Built by the British is 1910 AD the attraction of the church is its stained glass windows and brass plaques.


It is located 8 km from Munnar and known for its hydro electric project which is considered to be the first in Kerala. The place attracts tourists in large number because of its immense beauty.


On traveling 10 km from Munnar you could reach this breathtaking waterfall that cascade down from a hill from a height of about 1600 meters. The surrounding place gives it a mesmerizing look and it a great place for trekking.


There is an old charm around it because of the sleepy little cottages, bungalows, old playgrounds and courts. Adding to its charisma is its tea plantations.


It is a stunning waterfall located between Neriamangalam and Adimali on the Kochi - Madurai highway.

Top Station

It is located 32 kms from Munnar and 1700 Mts above sea level. This spot is the highest point in the Munnar - Kodiakanal Road and is the abode of the rare Neelakurinji which blossoms once in 12 years and paints the whole area blue.

Echo Point

As the name denotes it gets its name from the phenomenon called echo. The scream of yours reverberate in the surrounding hill of this place and this makes the place attractive.
